Corona research will not be affected by changes to our working model.
At JEOL Germany, we are doing our utmost to responsibly slow down the spread of the coronavirus (SARS-CoV2) pandemic in Europe. Thus, we will cancel all of our professional training courses at our JEOL Academy until May 31st, 2020. However, we will continue to monitor the situation very carefully and if necessary, postpone again to a later date.
To protect the safety of our employees as the coronavirus outbreak continues to spread, JEOL has asked the majority of employees to work from home effective immediately. Nevertheless, we will maintain all important service activities on our JEOL electron microscopes and carry out installations in laboratories according to schedule whilst still observing the necessary hygiene measures to enable us to significantly contribute to the fastest possible research solutions for the novel coronavirus. It is important that operation at Freising (JEOL Germany head quarter) continue, but with adjusted working time models and in adherence to special precautionary measures.
"With the prioritization of research tasks, the change to home office workplaces, the consistent use of telephone conferences and video meetings, we can follow the recommendations of the Ministry of Health and the Interior without endangering our customers' research assignments," explains Dr. Matthias Rodewald, managing director of JEOL (Germany) GmbH.
Further information on the events concerned and all updates are available on the academy site and the news room at www.jeol.de, respectively.
JEOL Germany deeply regrets the postponements and thanks you for your understanding.
